A show opening in challenging times
Sam and Jenny Bailey headed west to opening a local show in early April and as they discovered, they were visiting a pretty special place. Sam Bailey explains. "We'd been to Dirranbandi before but not really stopped for any length of time. But after two days it became pretty apparent it's got a heart of gold and an amazing spirit. As is often said, it takes a village to raise a child. It also takes a fantastic community to run a great agricultural show, especially in challenging times like we're experiencing at the moment with COV-ID. Congratulations to the small south-west Queensland town of Dirranbandi on achieving just that. It was a pleasure to be there to open the event on April 10."
