Small rural towns supporting their own
Like so many small rural towns, Yelarbon in the Queensland south-west, is doing its bit to support its own by holding fortnightly Men's Breakfasts at the town's lagoon. Catered by the local Men's Shed, the event has had many and varied speakers. On November 19 the guests were Sam and Jenny Bailey, who then headed to the nearby Yelarbon State School to chat to students. "It's wonderful to see the way communities are supporting their own during the on-going drought," said Sam. "And while sometimes there aren't huge numbers at these events, if it helps just one person it's worth the effort."
