Eighteen years speaking at Rotary Event

Sam and Jenny Bailey have announced their retirement from speaking at Rotary International's program for 19 to 30 years olds, RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) after 18 continuous years contribution across three different Rotary districts. Sam said, "We love the RYLA program but have decided that it's time to give to another project. It's partly due to a changing of the guard for the District 9650 RYLA committee, with whom we've become great mates, and felt it was a good time to move on. We wish the incoming committee all the best as they take the reins and head in a new direction with this amazing program." Sam and Jenny also paid tribute to the outgoing Rotary committee members who have decided to also retire, John Carroll and Louise Matthews, on their fantastic contibution to the District 9650 RYLA program over many years. "They leave knowing they have changed the lives of many young people for the better," said Sam. He's pictured on May 4 at the Rotary RYLA dinner at Blazes Restraurant, Tamworth, with guest speaker and great friend, Shanna Rowlands, Australian of the Year 2022 Local Hero recipient, and the RYLA committee members. He and Jenny spoke at their final RYLA earlier that day at Lake Keepit.
