Radford College venue packed to rafters
Radford College's lecture theatre was full to overflowing on August 4 for this year's Dirrum Dirrum Festival - a day of TED style talks - organised by Year 12 students at the Canberra school. Sam Bailey was one of the speakers at the hugely successful event; organised by students under the guidance of school chaplain Richard Browning and drama teacher George Huitker. Sam said he couldn't turn down the invitation from his long-time mate, Richard Browning, who played rugby with him at school and then supported him during his time in the spinal unit way back in 1987. "It was the least I could do after what Richard did for me at my time of need," said Sam, "and the trip was also an opportunity to have a few laughs with a great mate." Sam and Richard are pictured above. Photos below were taken at the Dirrum Dirrum Festival including some of the organisers; other speakers and attendees.
