RYLA changes lives

Rotary plays an important role in young people's lives each year when each District organises a week-long camp called RYLA, which stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. Each Rotary club is invited to send a young person, 18 to 25 years old, from their area to attend. Awardees learn life skills; goal setting; how to move on from limiting behaviours and attitudes; leadership and public speaking skills, just to name a few. Sam and Jenny Bailey contribute to the program each year by donating their time to speak at RYLA event. This year they spoke at Rotary District 9650's RYLA on April 5 at Yarrahappinni on the Mid North Coast and are pictured above and below with some of the participants.
