Lake Cargelligo recognised local lamb producers

Sam and Jenny Bailey loved their role for the 2018 Lake Cargelligo "Paddock to Plate" Lamb Competition on October  26 - helping with the tasting section of the judging. Sam said it was definitely a first for him but laughed and said, "It was tough...but someone had to do it." The local Paddock to Plate this year attracted more than 20 entries. "I could hardly move by the end of the tasting," Sam added. "Good thing I'm on wheels!!!!" Sam later spoke at the 2018 Paddock to Plate Drought Muster at the Lake Cargelligo Sports Club which attracted more than 200 participants and raised money for drought relief to people in the local area. The champions of the Paddock to Plate were the Hague family (pictured below with Sam Bailey) and one of the main organiser and MC on the night, Elders' Colin Fisher (second from left). Thanks to the Dubbo 4X4 Club for volunteering to help on the night and Riverina Bluebell for funding Sam Bailey's attendance.
