Ord River and Lake Argle from the air

Sam and Jenny Bailey would like to extend a huge thank you to Craig Cook from Stocklick Trading who took them for a flight along the Ord River and over Lake Argle during their visit in early July to Kununurra. Sam is pictured above with Craig and his partner Sarah Debney after the flight.

 Sam said, "It was an amazing trip. Craig flies a Robinson R44, the same helicopter we plan to use for the Helifirst project, which was fantastic and the scenery was absolutely brilliant.

"The Ord River water is absolutely pristine, winding through river plains covered in agricultural crops and Lake Argle is massive. It's nine times the size of Sydney Harbour and yet the dam wall is tiny. It's such a natural place for water storage. The surrounding hills and mountains looks so ancient and weathered and glow deep red at sunset. It really is a very beautiful part of Australia."

Sam opened the Kununurra Show on July 9, and he and Jenny spoke that night at the show's annual cattlemen's dinner. See more.

Flight over Sydney Harbour - awesome!

In early May we caught up with a great mate, Matt Hollingdale (Pictured with me at right) for a very special occasion...a flight along Sydney Harbour and up the Sydney coastline. It was an incredible flight. The views were absolutely stunning, (see pictures below) especially flying over the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge. Matt, who works fulltime as a helicopter pilot with National Parks and Wildlife Service, took us for the flight in a Bell 407 helicopter...a beautiful machine! We're pictured below with Matt and spotter Dave Hutchins, after landing the Bell safely back at Bankstown Airport. Awesome! Can't wait to be doing the flying myself!
