Jenny Bailey's art gallery....

As a child Jenny Bailey constantly drew animals, particular horses for which she has a life long passion.
Even then, her talent was recognized with prizes at school and a highly commended at the Scone Horse Week Art Prize.
Her career as a journalist, spanning 17 years, prevented her from pursuing her art seriously until her marriage in 1999 to Sam Bailey when she moved to his family farm at Croppa Creek.
Inspired by a workshop with Maxine Thompson in pastel animal portraiture in early 2003, Jenny now specialises in pastels of animals, particularly horses, dogs and cattle. She has won various prizes at local shows and received a number of commissions for her work.
She also takes inspiration for the animals that surround her on she and Sam's property, where they breed cattle and horses for stock work and competition in eventing and dressage. View her horse, cattle or dog paintings.

"As a recent high school graduate and a ridiculously fussy reader, I stumbled across your book in our bookshelf (I was supposed to be cleaning my room!!). Your humble determination and courage in overcoming adversity is truly inspirational in conquering all of life's problems - great and small. The book was that great I even took it to schoolies week!" - Melanie McKinnis
